Sanskrit - The mother of all the languages.

A language is just a medium to understand the thoughts of the people.

By seeing the title don't come to the conclusion that Sanskrit( or Samskrut) is the mother of all the languages. But Sanskrit gave rise to many languages in Asia and around it. Most of the Indian languages in are generated from Sanskrit.

Apart from Sanskrit, Latin was in use in wide range in the South American countries. And Greek is also one of the ancient languages that was popular in the European countries. But based on the ratio of the people, it's Sanskrit that gave rise to many other languages through out the world.

There are 6,909 languages among which only 230 are spoken in Europe while 2197 are spoken in Asia.

Sach-in my life

I have seen too many posts on Sachin Tendulkar like never before in the past few days. I too want to post on my accounts on Facebook and Twitter but I really have no words to express and I don't even know where to start with!

Sachn Tendulkar. In my view you're not just a player, you're my addiction. Hard to forget a person like you. I still remember you banging Shoiab Akthar with upper cuts and then Virender Sehwag following you with similar shots in 2003 cricket WC. That's the first time I saw you and that's the first time I started playing cricket with my MRF cricket bat that I bought after a long argument with my dad to buy it for 110 INR.

There on wards I have never loved any other game like cricket and I have never liked any other person like Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin is like the brand ambassador of World Cricket. I can't even imagine cricket without him. His dedication towards the game is awesome. He is the same guy today and the day when he started playing cricket. His dedication towards the game is same. This is amazing. I've seen many cricketers who take the victory to the head and make themselves down by digging their destiny on their own. Sachin is the best example of "Mister Clean". I think that's the reason for why he is treated as the God of Cricket.

He is the real ratna(pearl) of India even though the govt of India doesn't recognize him with Bharata Ratna. But there are so many sports men who deserve that award. Like Dhyan Chand, who made hockey as the national game of India and made it more popular even before independence to India. Even the sports ministry suggested his name for Bharata Ratna. And one more such guy is Vishwanathan Anand who made chess popular in a nation where it was invented but was hidden under the popularity of cricket and hockey. Pankaj Advani and Geeth Sethi too. These guys are masters in billiards. They can bring medals if billiards is part of Olympic games.

Anyways, coming back for today's match, Sachin's emotional speech made me so emotional. I was in tears for a while. I still can't believe that I can't see him playing cricket in any jersey in Indian Cricket Team. I can clearly sense his absence in cricket. It's not going to be an interesting game like before. I can't event think watching cricket without Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar!! Adieu sir.. Sun ra ha hai na tu.... Ro raha hoon main!!

What's your problem??

You know what your problem is? You get attached, fast. And once you are attached to someone, you do everything you can to please them and make them happy. It’s never been about what you want, it’s always everyone’s needs before your own.

You give out too many chances to people, who quite frankly, do not deserve them. They take advantage of you,and you become a pushover. But you’re okay with that, because they’re in your life and that’s all you ever wanted. And even if they screw you over, you’ll still be therefor them. Because that’s you, that’s who you are. Once you get attached to someone, they capture your heart and they always have a place there.

Admit it!

Admit it. You aren’t like them. You’re not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider, watching the ‘normal people’ as they go about their automatic existences. For every time you say club passwords like ‘Have a nice day’ and ‘Weather’s awful today, eh?’ you yearn inside to say forbidden things like ‘Tell me something that makes you cry’ or ‘What do you think deja vu is for?’ Face it, you even want to talk to that girl in the elevator. But what if that girl in the elevator (and the balding man who walks past yourcubicle at work) are thinking the same thing?

Who knows what you might learn from taking a chance on conversation with a stranger? Everybody carries a piece of the puzzle. Nobody comes into your life by mere coincidence. Trust your instincts. Do the unexpected. Find the others.

Timothy Leary.

Reacting and Responding

Reacting and Responding are two different things. It won't take much time to react on a situation but the outcome of such reaction will be probably negative.

But it will take more time to respond on a situation. Here the outcome will positive because it takes time to respond.

We have to think of the situation, analyse the situation and then proceed to the next step of giving our opinion.

Friendship Day?

And so it's a friendship day. Wait, a friendship day? Is there any quote on a friend?! Yeah, A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words - Unknown.

Not everyone who welcomes you with a smile is a friend. In many cases an enemy is better than a friend who counts mistakes always in you and thus provokes you to bounce back. And in my view the basic thing for a relationship so called friendship is a necessity which is also a base for any kind of relationship.

According to Stephen Covey there are three constants in life change, choice and principles. And hence for every person the other person is just a choice who can change for sure based on his principles. Probably those kinda people are treated as friends. #MyLifeWithExperience.

My take on the whole Modi issue

My take on the whole Modi issue:

Congress says that BJP is communal, specially Modi who is pro Hindutva and anti Muslim and that he will target minorities. So, they keep bringing up the Godhra issue again and again. Somehow their leaders suffer from short term memory loss when it comes to the 84 Sikh riots and the 93 Bombay riots where they were in power in Maharashtra. Also, they never talk about how BJP fielded Muslims in municipal and panchayat elections and won in Gujarat.

The Advani camp believes that Modi does not know anything outside Gujarat and that the Godhra riots were the main reason why BJP suffered in 2004 and then suffered even more in 2009 with their vote bank reducing to less than 20% at the national level. One thing that we feel went totally against the BJP in 2004 was that they didn't have a face of the party, Advani was not approved by the public as a Prime Ministerial candidate just like how the Advani camp and Congress feel about Modi, which might be true.

With Modi's portrayal as the PM candidate, the JD(U) split from NDA is almost obvious, Patnaik will follow as well. But the Bypoll elections also suggest Nitish Kumar's image going down, a Naxal attack today and he's busy discussing Federal front with Mamta instead of dealing with state security.

Now the federal / 3rd front is happening mainly because it's so uncertain who will get more votes among Congress / BJP, otherwise you would see strong UPA / NDA coalitions right from now. Mayawati, Lalu, Mulayam, Mamta - all these are power hungry politicians will prime ministerial dreams. They will sway where their chances are better. Arvind Kejriwal has added a brand new twist to this whole story and might be a defining force in the overall scope of things.

Modi might not be the answer for BJP, they might lose just like in 2004, I am sure they will better the 2009 numbers, but Advani as a PM candidate won't make it any better nor will someone like Chauhan, Swaraj, Rajnath Singh or Gadkari. In any case, Modi will be taken seriously, so I am hoping we would at least see some development in the Congress led states in the next 9 months which they will do to try and erase the memory of crapping on the nation's face for the last 9 years.

The fundamental difference between communal and secular parties is that communal parties might target minorities, but secular parties are no better. They let them do so, sit and watch the fun and then come on media to show their sympathies to the minorities. They are two sides of the same coin, just that minorities somehow believe the pseudo secular portrayal and vote for a bunch of goons who project fake development to increase their vote banks.

We are at a critical juncture right now. Rupee is falling, inflation and petrol prices are rising like rapes in the capital. We are a young nation and 5 years of good governance can really help in changing our fortunes. We need a system that discourages outsourcing and BPOs and encourages start ups and need to create better jobs, specially in the manufacturing sector. We need to be self sufficient.

We need to show the world that we can be a developed country.....

What is Secularism?

There is nothing wrong in being aHindu/Muslim/Christian/Sikh...
It's a matter of choice.

There is nothing wrong in being anationalist. That too is a matter of choice.
And there is nothing wrong at all in being a Hindu Nationalist/Muslim Nationalist/Christian Nationalist....

Secularism doesn't mean absence of religion (in this case one particular religion), it means the exact opposite : The freedom to choose and propagate ones' religion.

Please try and make a distinction between being an idiot and being secular. © BhakSala

Things the 50+ year olds say when they see us doing these things

© Credits - Bhak Sala Page in facebook
    Dated : 23-6-2013

1. Listening to any kind of music after the Kumar Sanu era: Ye sab dhin-chak dhin-chak bhi koi music hai? Tum logon ko music ke baare me kya pata hai? Hamare zamane me there were 3 jewels, Mukesh, Mohd Rafi and Kishore.. ab tumhare ye Sonu, Wonu ko kuch nahin aata hai. Aajkal ke gaane me koi matlab bhi hai? Purane gaanon me kya mithaas tha, gaane ke kitne achche alfaaz hote the..

2. When they see us watching T20 cricket: Ye aajkal ke ye twenty forty non sense me kya mazaa hai? Hamare zamane me Kapil Dev ne jo 5 down hone ke baad Zimbabwe ke khilaaf 175 maarke India ko jitaya tha, tum logon ko kya pata? Us din BBC ke strike ke wajah se match nahin aaya tha, bas Radio pe sun rahe the, chauke pe chauka, chakke pe chakka, sochte the ki commentator same shot ke baare me replay bata raha hai aur score bolte waqt samajh me aata tha ki ek aur chakka maara hai. Aajkal ke cricket me wo baat kahan..

3. When we take a flight to reach Delhi and travel around: Udke to koi bhi jaata hai, travel karne ka mazaa to train me hi hai.. Aajkal to train me bhi 1 din me pahunch jaate hain, hamare zamane me South se Dilli jaane ke liye 3 din lagte the.. Wo raste me har jagah ki specialty khana, pede, shreekhand, chai.. tum logon ko kya pata hai? Bas plane me baithe aur 2 ghante me pahunch gaye..

4. When we go to KFC, McDonalds, Dominos: Ye bhi koi khana hai? Isse health bahut kharab hota hai, maine paper me padha hai ki roz pizza khane se 'some random statistic / gyaan'. Hamare zamane me hum log kitna healthy khate the, tabhi to aaj bhi dekho kitne tandurust hain, tumhare age me hum log 10 kilometre roz chalke jaate the office aur daudke wapas aate the, aajkal uthne baithne ke liye tum logon ko bike chahiye, chalna to tum logon ne seekha hi nahin..

5. When they come to know about our relationships: Aajkal ka pyaar bhi koi pyaar hai? Hamare zamane me char-paanch mahine ladki se nahin mil paate the, chitti likhni padti thi, paise nahin hote the use post karne ke liye, phir bhi humne pyaar kiya. Tum logon ke paas mobile hai, yaad aaya to SMS aur ye aajkal ka kya hai wo Wechat.. hamare paas kuch bhi nahin tha. Phir bhi humne pyaar kiya hai.. tum log kya jaano pyaar kya hota hai..

The True Life by Vivek Na

What is your life story - Vivek Na
I was born in Bangalore, got very interested in computers at a young age of 8.

At age 11.5, I, my two siblings, brother (age 17.5) and sister, (age 21.5) and mother (and 3 other kids of my sisters age) left Bangalore and went and lived in a remote forested part of the upper Himalayas (why? that's too long a story)

Eleven years we lived there (obviously I got no formal education, but learned most of what I know by self study).
The other three kids had to leave after a few months due to immense parental pressure.
The relationship between the rest of us turned from a mere family thing to one similar to a survival team, it's not easy living in such places if you are a city person, and if your finances are very limited.
Those 11 years deserve a book on their own. Actually several, because between the four (or maybe seven) of us, there is a lot that we experienced, both together and personally.

Some stuff about that time I have written here :
The elements - Water (http://jumblingmumbling.blogspot.in/2011/05/elements-water.html)
The elements - Fire (http://jumblingmumbling.blogspot.in/2011/04/elements-fire.html)
The fear of death, to the death of fear (http://jumblingmumbling.blogspot.in/2010/12/fear-of-death-to-death-of-fear.html)

You can find links to my mothers blog (massive amounts of content there) and my siblings blogs in the "Blogs of note" section.

Age 22, I come to Bangalore, get hired at a startup over a yahoo conversation in the "Programming:1" chatroom - I wasn't even looking for a job. I'm serious!
I move to Chennai, work from end 2002 to early 2005.

2003 I buy the then most powerful motorbike in India,
2004 April I buy a flat.
2005 Jan, I crash and break my left knee.
I quit my job, loaded with debts (didn't have complete medical insurance cover), move to Dehradun on an impulse, stay with my brother.

I start freelancing, initially make a few dollars, but soon things get better and I'm financially OK after 3 or 4 months. I sell my flat and pay off all debts, we rebuild the bike, and I can walk and ride reasonably normally again.

In early 2006, I meet a Romanian girl in _ where else? Yahoo "Programming:1" _ and we slowly fall in crazy love. After several months we decide to get married. It's not easy for an "unqualified person" to move to Europe, nor is it easy for East Europeans to get visas to India easily. So we both fly to Mauritius, meet for the first time face to face, and in 7 days were legally married.
Then I applied for a visa to go there on the basis of that marriage and I live there.
I completely turned my life inside out and managed to get there.
It was quite wonderful, but after a period of time things do not work out, so about 20 months later, we mutually agree to part ways, and I flew back to India and settle in Bangalore.

Since then I "de-geeked" myself quite a lot, turned a bit extrovert, got into fitness and martial arts, learned a bit of improv dance, wrote fiction, taught myself the harmonica and the flute (somewhat), made a number of friends from diverse backgrounds, tried to do as many new and unique things as possible (Still trying to do that).

As of now I'm trying to learn to rebuild/modify motorbikes and am looking to make a career out of it. I also have an idea that might improve efficiency of I.C. engines by a good amount, and I will be prototyping that over the course of this year.

Life looks great, except I'm once again in the "Damn I wish I had that special someone" phase of relationships. But things generally tend to fall into place when the time is right.

Lessons I learned (caveat emptor)

1) Formal education is less valuable than the paper on which the degree is printed.

2) If you never do heavy physical activities, you will live in a delusion that mental "white collar" work requires more skill

3) Financial security is a myth - For the past 7.5 years I have never had savings of more than a few 100$. I live month to month, never knowing whether I will get a project to cover next months bills. I just knew I would get enough projects and I always have. Understand risk factors rationally - ATGATT is more rational than an insurance policy.

4) Specialization is for insects... If you do not develop diverse interests and skills, you limit your experience. I can do at least 5 things as a career and many more as hobbies. The more things you do, the more your big picture knowledge grows and the more awesome people you meet.

5) Change is inevitable, things will be lost. You cannot cling to geography, people, things, relationships and so on forever. Everything will be different some day. Better accept that than live in a delusion.

6) Your self is the most important thing in the world - Build a strong unshakeable identity like an oak tree. Grow, but don't mutate. Don't hold yourself to any standards but your own. Don't change depending on the situation or the people around you. Don't hide parts of your self simply to look politically correct or get social approval. Be a consistent self, who thinks acts and speaks the same in all situations. Never be embarrassed for your self or actions. Never regret what you did, instead analyze and optimize.

7) Do not waste your precious youth years - you have infinite energy, libido, optimism, and social interaction. Learn, love, lift, laugh as much as you can then, because life will eventually make you more cynical and bitter, and you will lack that blissful ignorance when you grow older.

There are no limits to when and where you can do something - You can sing on the street, ride in the rain, or workout at midnight even when you are 75 years old. The question you want to ask is "Do I want to do this", not "What would the world think of me when I do this"

9) For Bughuul's sake, keep yourself fit! I had the advantage of engaging in extreme physical activity at a young age (carrying logs equal to my body weight for kilometers etc.). I lapsed for several years, but got back again. The benefits of a strong healthy body extend to the brain also. You get discipline, forbearance, an ability to withstand pain, tenacity, self esteem and confidence. There's a feeling of great power when you can open a jar of Kissan Jam without heating the seal.

10) You don't "have to" do anything - Marrying, having kids, having a job, owning a house, having a retirement fund, this that and the other - All of these are carrots and sticks of humanity to keep life going on. What you need to do is be true to yourself, free of self doubt, free of any mental shackles that can pull you down.

Im really glad to see my Dad in a happy mood like never before ever since I got selected for Sigma I and C pvt ltd. Its time to feel the responsibilities now.

Friday 8 March 2013

Happy to select in Sigma

wohooo

Got selected in another company. But Im not confused because this company Sigma I and C tech services is offering me more pay. Im really happy because my dad is happy.

This interview was tough one compared to the previous one. They concentrated on the basics on programming languages.Reading newspapers regularly helped me in GD round. They gave the topic Nuclear reactors in India. I continued the discussion by supporting it. I'm the only one supported it there. Everyone speaks about the Tsunami in Japan in 2011 and the consequences of Nuclear Reactor. But US too had number of  hurricanes. If we think in positive manner we'll the positive results.

and they also asked me if Im comfortable to work at any part of the country. I said yes.

And its difficult for me to blog from my Nokia. Otherwise..............

blogging on first day-thanks to blogger

I've been trying to create my own blog since many many days but it got implemented now!!!! It is just a platform for introspection. I don't have the habit of writing a dairy but blogging would give me that experience!!!!!!
